Police arrest woman for killing her hubby

A 24-year-old woman of Kafue district has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband after a marital dispute.

ANGELA LETICIA, is alleged to have connived with her brother, EMMANUEL NIZEYIMANA, to murder her 30-year-old husband DUSABIMANA FURUJOTSE MUKWIYE NGONO.

The suspect, her brother and the deceased are of Rwandese origin.

Police Deputy Spokesperson DANNY MWALE has confirmed to ZNBC News in a statement the incident which happened on December 5, 2022.

Mr. MWALE said a taxi driver PRINCE HIMOONZE was allegedly hired to dispose of the body and has since been arrested.

He said after the body was kept in the house, the two approached the taxi driver who advised them to cut off the legs for it to fit in his vehicle.

Mr. MWALE further explained that the body was later driven to Mazabuka’s MAGOYE area where it was dumped.

He said officers were led to the area and found the body in a decomposed state.

Mr. MWALE said the body has since been deposited into Mazabuka General Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
