Minister of Justice Given Lubinda says the Public Order Act amendment bill will soon be ready.

Mr Lubinda says his Ministry is waiting for the convening of a workshop for Member of Parliament and other stakeholders on the public order act by the inter-parliamentary union.

He says his ministry is currently awaiting confirmation from the Inter-Parliamentary Union on the dates it will be in Zambia.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr Lubinda says the holding of the workshop on the amendment of the public order act is course, adding that process of reviewing the act is also going smoothly.

He states that his expectation is therefore that the public order act amendment bill will be announced sooner than later.
