Players Abroad: Mwiya Malumo nets hat-trick, Patson nets a brace, Fashion and Obbie Chirwa on target

It was a good weekend for most Zambian players abroad as they helped their teams to record wins ahead of the international break.

Patson Daka continued his goal-scoring form netting a brace, Mwiya Malumo scored a hat-trick in England while Fashion Sakala and Obbie Chirwa scored a goal each for their respective teams in Belgium and Tanzania respectively.

In Austria, Red hot striker Patson Daka scored a brace and assisted a goal as Redbull Salzburg cruised to an emphatic 7-1 win over TSV Hartberg. Compatriot Enock ‘The Computer’ Mwepu put in a good 78-minute shift before being withdrawn for Majid Ashmeru.

Daka has now scored five goals in four League games and 11 goals in seven competitive games.

In Belgium, Striker Fashion Sakala scored the second goal for KV Oostende who recorded a 3-0 win over Mouscron Peruwelz.

The win takes Oostende to ninth place and Fashion to 3 goals this season but he is still four adrift of current league top goalscorer Ebere Paul Onuachu of KRC Genk.

In England, Young striker Mwiya Malumo netted a hat trick for Irlam who beat Litherland Remyca 5-2 in a North West County Premier League encounter.

In Poland, Winger Lubambo Musonda put in a good 86 minute shift for Śląsk Wrocław who cruised to a routine 3-1 win over Cracovia Kraków.

The win takes Wrocław to 10 points and just three adrift of log leaders Górnik Zabrze after five Polish Ekstraklasa games.

In Russia, Striker Evans Kangwa and midfielder Klings Kangwa put in full shifts for Arsenal Tula in their 1-1 draw with Tambov away at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk.

In Tanzania, Midfielders Rally Bwalya and Clatous Chota Chama each assisted a goal as Simba SC cruised to a routine 4-0 win over JKT Tanzania SC.

Elsewhere, Striker Obbie Chirwa scored a goal for Azam FC who recorded a 4-2 win over Kagera Sugar in a Tanzania Vodacom Premier League encounter.

In Sweden, Striker Edward Chilufya played the first 45 minutes for Djurgården IF who shared spoils with Hammarby in a 1-1 draw at the Tele 2 Arena in Stockholm.

In Ukraine, Former Zesco United defender Shemmy Mayembe made his second start for his new side FC Minai and first in the league and put in a good full shift in the team’s 1-1 draw with Inhulets’.
