Players abroad: Lifumpa and Shonga on target as Lubambo and CCC set up goals

Zambian players abroad were back in action over the weekend with Young Lifumpa Mwandwe and Justin Shonga finding the back of the net.

Midfield ace Clatous Chota Chama and Lubambo Musonda set up goals for their respective teams as they both put in fantastic performances to help their clubs to victory.

In DR Congo,  Kabaso Chongo and Nathan Sinkala put in a decent shift to help TP Mazembe to a 3-2 win over Sanga Belende.

In South Africa, Justin Shonga set up a goal and scored another as he put in an all round good performance to help Orlando Pirates to a resounding 4-1 win over Amazulu. Augustine Mulenga came from the bench to play the last 29 minutes.

Elsewhere, Former Chipolopolo boss Wedson Nyirenda guided Baroka to an important one nil win over Supersport United. Defender Billy Mutale and striker Gamphani Lungs were not part of of the Matsatsatsa match day squad.

Former Nkana captain Donashano Malama was an unused substitute for Chippa United who played to a one all draw with Golden Arrows.

Salulani Phiri put in a decent shift to help Polokwane City hold Kaizer Chiefs to a one all draw.

Mwape Musonda and his team mates had a frustrating afternoon on Sunday as they were held to a barren draw at home by Highlands Park.

In England, Lifumpa Mwandwe was on target for his Shrewsbury Town U18 side that were held to a 2-2 draw by Walsall in the Youth Alliance League.

It was the first for the season for the pacy forward who signed his first pro deal – which runs until summer 2020 with Shrewsbury Town in October last year and finished 2018 with 20 goals for the U18s.

In France, Chipolopolo defensive kingpin put in a full ninety minute shift for Metz who recorded a two nil win in their Ligue 2 week 25 encounter. Habib Diallo scored a brace.

Elsewhere Midfielder Emmanuel Banda played the full match for AS Béziers who were held to a one all draw by Châteauroux.

In Israel, Defender Emmanuel Mbola put in a full ninety minute shift to help Bnei Sakhnin to a 2-1 win over Bnei Yehuda in a Ligat ha’Al encounter

In Poland, Former Power dynamos winger Lubambo Musonda set up the second goal as Śląsk Wrocław beat Zagłębie Lubin 2-0 in a Polish league encounter.
