Livingstone Pirates 3 – 0 Katima Border Stars

Livingstone Pirates followed up on their victory in midweek at vic falls grounds in a local derby against Zesco Vic Falls putting Katima to the sword with a well deserved 3-0 win on sunday at Busiku grounds.

Steven Mwanza openned the scoring in the 18th minute when he connected well with a Pempelo Mwanza pass and dribled two diffenders before shooting into the right bottom corner. The lead was doubled with five minutes to end the first 45 minutes. Penpelo mwanza was quick enough to reach and connect thet ball as he fired with a first time volley on his weak right foot into the top corner of the goal following a long pass from Kabamba.

The scoreline was a true reflection of the half as pirates controlled and dominated in terms of possession and chances created with Steve,Bornface,Pempelo Mwanza ,Joseph Phiri and Duane Mwikisa all coming close to finding the back of the net.

Katima returned from the second half poised to stage a comeback and had a couple of opportunities but failled to make the most of it until Joseph phiri who was the hero in the derby on wednesday rose above several Katima defenders to head the ball into the net following a cross into the 18 yard box to increase the landlord’s lead.

3-0 the match ended , The Landlords extending their impressive run under Bupe Chewe to maintain there Faz Division One Zone Four promotion and national league challenge.
