PF Wins Lukau Ward

The Patriotic Front -PF – has won the local government by elections in Lukau Ward in Lukulu district.Mubombola  Obby , who stood on the PF ticket got 326 votes while Chinyama Chinyemba of the United Party for National Development -UPND- got 303 votes.The PF defeated the UPND by a difference of 23 votes from the three polling districts namely, Kapulanga, Manduma and Lukau.According to the registered voters per polling districts and stations for the Electoral Commission of Zambia booklet 2016, Lukau Ward has 1- thousand registered voters.The Lukau seat fell vacant when the former Councilor Kalunga Ngenjo of the United Party for National Development -UPND- resigned in December 2019.
