PF UNEARTHS UPND REGALIA SCAM

The Patriotic Front on the Copperbelt has unearthed a scam in which the opposition UPND has allegedly acquired PF regalia to use on Tuesday when their party leader Hakainde Hichilema appears for questioning before Police in Ndola.
PF Copperbelt Youth Chairperson Nathan Chanda says the party has been informed that the regalia will be worn by UPND youths who will cause confusion in order to paint the ruling party violent.
Speaking after a meeting with all Copperbelt Constituency and District Youth Chairpersons in Kitwe, Mr. Chanda directed that no PF youth should wear party regalia tomorrow.
The Luanshya Mayor added that President Edgar Lungu has been preaching
peace and that there is no way the PF youths can cause confusion when Mr. Hichilema appears for questioning at the Police Division headquarters.
But  the UPND has dismissed accusations by Mr. Chanda as false saying the Party has no intentions of using the PF regalia to cause confusion tomorrow.
UPND Copperbelt Spokesperson Martin Kalunga said the PF must allow Mr. Hichilema to appear before police in peace and without drama.
He said the UPND is a peaceful party and has no intentions of causing violence as alleged by Mr. Chanda.
And Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga has warned that whoever will be found wearing political regalia when Mr. Hichilema appears for questioning will be arrested.
Mr. Hichilema has been summoned by Police following his alleged inciting of Kitwe residents to protest the unproven sale of the Zambia Forest and Forestry Industries Corporation -ZAFFICO.
