PF TO CAMPAIGN MORE

By Paul ShalalaThe Patriotic Front Copperbelt Mobilisation Committee and the Provincial Executive Committee have resolved to start mass mobilisation activities to broaden the party’s base ahead of the 2021 general elections.Speaking during a joint meeting yesterday in Ndola, PF Copperbelt Mobilisation Coordinator Bowman Lusambo said the mobilisation exercise will woo more voters to the ruling party so that victory can be guaranteed next year.Mr Lusambo, who is also Kabushi Member of Parlaiment and Lusaka Province Minister, reaffirmed his committee’s mandate to complement the work of the elected party officials to reach out to the grassroots to canvass for votes.He said the committee will campaign for President Edgar Lungu’s re-election and deliver all parliamentary seats and wards to the ruling party next year.Meanwhile, PF Copperbelt Chairman Nathan Chanda said with the help of the Copperbelt Mobilisation Committee, the province will not have any opposition Members of Parliament or Councillors after the 2021 general elections.Mr Chanda, who is also Luanshya Mayor, said the party will use President Lungu’s appealing image to campaign for his re-election as well as sweep all wards and parliamentary seats on the Copperbelt.Several Members of Parliament and prominent PF officials on the Copperbelt attended the meeting.
