By Brian Mwale-The PF has suspended all disciplinary cases that have arisen from February 28th, 2021 to date ahead of this weekend’s party National Council and General Conference.

PF National Chairperson Samuel Mukupa has since directed that all members who were in good standing with the party as at February 28th 2021 be deemed eligible delegates and be allowed to participate in the National Council and General Conference respectively.

Mr. Mukupa has told ZNBC News in Lusaka this evening that the move has been made in the interest of broad participation by all members in party affairs.

He said the PF does not believe that the spirit of exclusion premised on internal wrangles must be encouraged as it prepares to propel the party to victory in this year’s general elections.

And Mr. Mukupa said health experts in the Ministry of Health have permitted the PF to proceed with satellite gatherings of not more than 1-hundred persons per centre.

He has however stated that the ruling party has decided to hold the two meetings virtually through modern technologies in groups of 50 persons in the 20 centres of the country’s 10 provinces.

The PF National Chairperson revealed that the party has put in place systems that will ensure full participation of members in line with the party constitution.

He said the PF has also appointed an independent electoral commission comprising electoral experts to superintend the whole process.
