PF Member Disrespecting The Party Leadership Warned Of Expulsion

By Logic Lukwanda

Patriotic Front –PF- Secretary General Davis Mwila has warned that whoever will disrespect or insult the party leadership will be kicked out of the party and will not attend the general conference.

Mr. Mwila tells Phoenix News that members are free to vie for any position but that respect for the existing leadership is of paramount importance.

And Mr. Mwila says the general conference is not only focused on electing the presidential candidate for the 2021 general elections but other agendas such as amending the party constitution, new leadership of the central committee and approve the new manifesto to run between 2021 and 2026.

He has urged bonafide members of the party to feel free and contest any position despite the central committee already having settled for President Edgar Lungu as the PF’s sole presidential candidate for next year’s elections.

The PF Central Committee has set June/July 2020 to hold the General Conference to choose the Party President who will also be the PF’s presidential candidate in the 2021 General Elections.
