PF media sees through UPND lies

(25-03-18) The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) media team has detected fraud in the document filed by the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) in Parliament as a motion to impeach president Edgar Lungu.
Media Director Sunday Chanda told journalists during the PF Interactive Forum on Sunday that the motion boarders on fraud and urged the police to act against the people involved.
According to Chanda, the two cover letters issues by Chishimba Kambwili and Garry Nkombo also boarders on forgery and uttering force document which according to the laws of Zambia, these are serious not offenses.
He said not only the letters being contradictory of each other but also depict lots of inconsistencies.
While he was not in doubt that Kambwili could have signed one of the letters, Chanda wondered how Kambwili could have signed his letter on March 23rd because on this day he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at CBF medical centre.
“If it is true Kambwili signed the cover letter filed along with the motion of the impeachment in Parliament, then he signed it at the ICU. That being the case the n Kambwili was lie that he was critically ill.”
He also expressed serious doubt as to whether the letter was genuine because if it was signed on March 23 at the hospital then he faked his illness.
He further quarried the dates when the motion was filed on March 22 and the letter signed.
He furthermore claimed that, the numbers of Members of Parliament are not consistency with the signatures on the document that was filed in Parliament.
He said the motion claim there were 62 members that support the motion of impeachment of which 12 did not signed the petition.
“The actual signatures shows that 106 signed but a close scrutiny of the petition reveals that some signatures were a duplication of the same signatures signed by some MPs, including Monze MP Jack Mwiimbu and Stumbeko Musokotwane.
According to Chanda, the petition boarders on uttering false documents to mislead the public officer in the name of the Clerk of the National Assembly to act when on an illegality.
He invited the police to investigate the petition to Parliament brought by the UPND and bring to book all the people involved in the scandal.
He further denounced the grounds for impeachment championed by the UPND saying some of them were ably dealt with in the ministerial statement issued in Parliament.
On these accounts, he urged the people of Zambia to reject the planned motion of impeachment with the contempt it deserve claiming it boarders on fraud and acts of division.
