PF has no money to reduce Zambia a one party state – Chanda

The ruling PF has dismissed assertions that it wants to turn Zambia into a one party state.

Media Director Sunday Chanda says the ruling PF wants Zambia to remain a multiparty democracy the more reason it prefers to have a vibrant opposition in the Country.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Chanda says it is therefore not true that the ruling party has been soliciting defections by buying off members of other political parties.

Mr. Chanda has wondered where his party can get the money to spend on buying all those that are joining from the opposition parties.

He says the truth of the matter is that political parties such as the UPND that have suffered defections recently are only failing to inspire their members.

Mr. Chanda says the ruling PF has demonstrated that its democratic credentials are by far better than any political party in Zambia.
