The cadres who came to give solidarity to the Republican President  Edgar Lungu and his Vice Inonge Wina , the party’s Presidential Candidate and running mate respectively almost caused havoc at  the gate as one of them resisted standard body check by Police.

The vehicles carrying Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba and PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri passed at this time a lone cadre tried to branch off from the usual pedestrians searching line mounted at the gate. This action made police to swing in and manhandle the male cadre.

Other cadres joined in and started shouting that he must be left alone.  But one female police didn’t retreat; she kept on holding him tight as others called for her to let him go, this action made cadres to hurl unpalatable.

However the situation was only normalized after PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri Calmed the cadres.
