PF Appeals To Young People To Register as Voters

The Patriotic Front Lusaka Province Mobilisation Committee has urged young people to take the voter registration programme seriously and actively participate in the electoral process in order to influence positive change in society.

Mobilisation committee vice provincial Coordinator Goodson Banda said young people, being the majority and future leaders, should register to vote in next year’s general elections.

In a statement to ZNBC News, Mr. Banda said the Patriotic Front considers youths as an important vehicle to mobilise and propel the party to victory.

He said the PF needs good numbers to win the polls in 2021, which can be found in young population across all areas of society, including higher institutions of learning.

Mr. Banda reminded youths in higher institutions of learning to use their education and intellect as an instrument to foster the wellbeing of society.

He said this when addressing student leaders from higher institutions of learning during a preparatory meeting for the launch of Patriotic Front Lusaka Province Student Mobilisation committee.

Mr. Banda was accompanied by committee secretary Dr Smart Mwitwa, Trustee Benny Mibenge, Roy Mwaba and Chendela Mukondo.
