Patson Daka out to continue his scoring spree as club football makes a return

With the International break fully behind us, the foreign-based players have returned to their bases and will look to pick up where they left off this weekend as club football makes a return.

In South Africa, The MTN takes center stage today with two very interesting matches taking place.

Former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga could make his debut for his new team Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila F.C (TTM) who square off with Gamphani Lungu’s Supersport United at 15:00hrs.

Later on Austin Muwowo’s Orlando Pirates takes on Cape Town City, A team winger Charles Zulu recently joined after leaving Zanaco.

The MTN 8 will continue tomorrow with Lazarus Kambole and his Kaizer Chiefs facing Maritzburg United while Kennedy Mweene’s Sundowns will go head to head with Bloemfontein Celtic.

In Tanzania, Larry Bwalya and Clatous Chota Chama could be in action as Simba SC host Mlandege FC in a friendly match.

In Austria, In-form striker Patson Daka and midfield ace Enock Mwepu will be in action today at 14:45 when they travel to St. Pölten to face SKN Sankt Pölten in a UNIQA ÖFB Cup Round 2 encounter at the NV ARENA.

Daka already has four goals and two assists to his name in the competition all achieved during the first round against lower-tier side Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz. Mwepu also has a goal to his name in the competition.

In Belgium, Striker Fashion Sakala and his KV Oostende teammates will be in action on Monday. Oostende will travel Beveren to face Waasland-Beveren in a week 9 Jupiler Pro League encounter.

Midfielder Emmanuel Banda will have to be declared match fit to play having just started training just recently after a near two-month injury lay off.

In Ukraine, Former Zesco United defender Shemmy Mayembe will be in action this afternoon as Minai host Mariupol’ in a week 6 Ukrainian Premier League encounter at the Stadion Avanhard in Uzhhorod.

In the USA, Winger Mutaya Mwape is expected to be in action in the early hours of Sunday as his United States USL League One side Richmond Kickers host Tormenta at the City Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
