The 2017 CAF young player of the year started upfront alongside Mergïm Berisha while Compatriot Enock Mwepu started in the middle of the park alongside Zlatko Junuzovic, Antoine Bernede, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Daka put Salzburg in the lead after just three minutes. Mergïm Berisha intercepted a poor ball at the back before putting the Chipolopolo striker on goal who made no mistake as he beat Allison at the near post, 1-0.

Salzburg controlled the majority of the first half with Enock ‘Computer’ Mwepu the best player on the field as he controlled the middle of the park and commanded the game.

In the second half, both teams made a number of changes with Mwepu and Patson Daka withdrawn in the 73rd minute alongside Antoine Bernede.

BREWSTER SHOW

The second half substitute Rhian Brewster took over the show in the last 20 minutes. Brewster pulled one back in the 71st minute after good work by James Milner to set him up inside the box.

The youngster drew the Reds level eleven minutes later after poor goalkeeping from Alexander Walke provided a chance and he pounced on the ball and no mistake to make it 2-2.

Salzburg pushed hard for a winner in the dying minutes but Koita failed to utilize two good chances, 2-2 the match ended.
