Patson Daka injured in Leicester City’s pre season defeat 

Patson Daka limped off in the first half in Leicester City’s final pre-season match. 

The Zambian forward was withdrawn in the 37th minute through injury and replaced with Stephy Mavididi.

It’s however not clear how serious the injury is and how long the Chipolopolo forward will be out. 

Leicester City were defeated 3-0 by French Ligue 1 side RC Lens at Stade Félix Bollaert-Delélis on Saturday – a final pre-season test ahead of the new Premier League season.

Kevin Danso’s strike and a brace from Angelo Fulgini all came within 10 minutes at the start of the second half in northern France to give Will Still’s hosts a victory over the Foxes. 

To lose their third straight pre-season match. The Foxes have also failed to score in all the three matches.

Leicester City will face Tottenham Hotspur in the opening fixture of the 2024/25 English Premier League season.
