PARTNER WITH LAWMAKERS-KALOBO

Wusakile Member of Parliament Pavyuma Kalobo has encouraged local authorities to be partnering with lawmakers in implementing community projects which are aimed at benefiting people in society.
Mr. Kalobo says local authorities cannot manage to provide social amenities on their own without the help of lawmakers who have the resources and desire to improve people’s lives.
Speaking when he flagged off the weekly collection of garbage at Chamboli and Wusakile Markets, Mr. Kalobo said there is need for the local authorities to enhance their role to clean up garbage.
He said a dirty environment is dangerous for communities as it can lead to waterborne diseases.
Mr. Kalobo has further pledged to ensure he mobilizes resources to conduct cleaning exercises in various areas of his constituency on a weekly basis.
And some Wusakile residents this morning appreciated a team of workers from the Kitwe City Council and the Wusakile lawmaker’s office who conducted a cleanup exercise in the area.
