PARLIAMENT RATIFIES APPOINTMENT OF MUSA MWENYE LED ACC BOARD

Parliament has unanimously ratified the appointment of the Musa Mwenye led Anti-Corruption Commission –ACC- board, new members of the Judicial Complaints Commission and Human Rights Commission.
Parliament has ratified the appointment of Mr Musa Mwenye SC as Board Chairperson of the ACC and Mrs Ireen Musonda Chongo Lamba, Dr Henry Bwanga Mbushi as members of the board and Mr Gilbert Phiri Director General of the commission.
The house has also ratified the appointment of Judge Prisca Matimba Nyambe and Mr Chad Himoonga Muleza as members of the Judicial Complaints Commission.
Dr Pamela Towela Sambo, Father. Emmanuel Chikoya, Mr Tom Travor Shamakamba, Ms. Laura Miti and Ms Christine Chama have had their appointments to Human Rights Commission board ratified.
And contributing to the debate of the motion opposition whip Stephen Kampyongo appealed to new ACC Director General Gilbert Phiri to put the country first as he executes his national duties saying Mr Phiri should serve the country diligently without applying favoritism.
