“Overspeeding Cause of Ndola Accident”

July 17, 2019July 17, 201912The Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA- has established that the driver of the mini-bus, which crashed on the Ndola-Kitwe Dual carriage was over speeding.The agency has also identified the driver of the mini-bus as Moses Susu , aged 27.RTSA Head of Public Relations, Fredrick Mubanga has disclosed this in a statement availed to ZNBC news today.Mr Mubanga has explained that due to excessive speed, the driver lost control, and the vehicle careered off the road, hitting into a guard rail and overturning.Six people died in the accident while others were admitted to Ndola Teaching Hospital.Meanwhile 19 out of the 23 victims of last night’s accident at Maposa in Luanshya have been discharged from the Ndola Teaching Hospital. The accident claimed six lives when the Rosa minibus they were on lost control and plunged into a stream. Ndola Teaching Hospital Senior Medical Superintendent Joseph  Musowoya says the accident victims that have being discharged include 2 babies. Dr. Musowoya says the remaining six are still receiving treatment but are out of danger.He said this when Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe visited the accident Victims at the hospital. And Mr. Nundwe described the death of 6 people as unfortunate and cautioned Motorists to be extra Cautious on the road. Post Views: 12
