Oswald Mutapa set to reveal Cosafa U20 Squad

Zambia Under-20 coach Osward Mutapa Jnr is set to announce his provisional squad for next’s Cosafa Under-20, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Mutapa who guided both the Zambia Under-17 and 20 to regional titles in 2019 is expected to announce his squad in the next few days.

The bulk of the team is expected to come from the Under-17 side which won gold in Malawi 2 years old.

While star player Joseph Sabobo Banda is with the George Chilufya’s Under-17 national team which are preparing for Zone VI Championship, Mutapa is expected to summon the quartet from Athletic Lusaka Francis Mutalange, Charles Majapa, Julius Kumwenda and Teddy Khumalo.

Others will be Chipyoka Songa from Lusaka Dynamos, Muza’s Rickson N’gambia and Moses Mulenga from Zesco United.

Shamuel’s Miguel Changa Chaiwa is expected to captain the side with clubmate Dominic Kanda also set to earn a call up

The new inclusion might include Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy’s Stephen Phiri and striker Tobias Chota from Vector.

The squad will also be beefed by some players from the super league. Joseph ‘Budo’ Mutale and Peter Chikola from Power Dynamos and Kafue Celtic are also expected to earn call ups.

Strikers: Rickson Ng’ambi, Moses Mulenga, Twiza Mulenga
