By Hannock Kasama-Three Patriotic Front -PF- members have dispelled sentiments by the opposition UPND that it would change the fortune of Zambians if voted into power.
The three are CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI, CANISIUS BANDA and CHARITY LUMPA.
Mr. KAMBWILI who is also former National Democratic Congress-NDC President says the UPND has no tangible manifesto to develop Zambia better than what the PF government under the leadership of President EDGAR LUNGU has achieved.
He says President LUNGU has rolled out unprecedented infrastructure projects in the health, education and road sectors.
Mr. KAMBWILI said this during the PF Virtual rally held at LUSAKA’s Mulungushi International Conference Centre this afternoon.
At the same function, Dr. BANDA who is also former UPND Vice President said the developmental projects that President LUNGU has implemented make it easier for him to win the August 12, 2021 General Election.
Dr. BANDA said the UPND with its current leadership is not likely to trounce President LUNGU.
And Ms. LUMPA dismissed remarks by the opposition party that it would drastically reduce banks’ lending rates once in power.
Ms. LUMPA who is also former LUSAKA Central Constituency Independent Candidate and once served as ECO Bank Managing Director said interest rates are reduced based on economic fundamentals that keep both the banks’ business and the country’s economy afloat.
