Okutu and Moussa suffer minor injuries

Sensational Zanaco has confirmed that striker Emmanuel Okutu will be sidelined for at least a week following a knee injury.

The former Kabwe Warriors talisman. Emmanuel Okutu suffered a soft tissue injury on his right knee during the Mufulira Wanderers vs Zanaco friendly match in Mufulira.

Okutu is set to recover from the knock in the next seven days before the Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu charity shield as sensational Zanaco face the reigning Zambian super league champions Zesco United at woodlands stadium on the 17th of August.

“Peter Jacob Banda is recovering well, the PoP cast has been removed and he’ll be in an ankle brace for 8 weeks for complete healing to take place and is likely to miss the start of the league’s season opener against Zesco United on the 31st of this month.”

Ziyo Tembo who has returned to the club after a one-year contract with Saudi Arabian second division side Al Shoula FC has started training after recovering from a small knock. Other players who have also returned are Jimmy Nakena, Julius Situmbeko, Mwansa Nsofwa and Romaric Pitroipa.
