Sensational Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba has called on all Zanaco fans to come out in Numbers at cheer the team as they take on Zesco United in the final of the 2019 ABSA Cup at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Numba has also made his intentions of winning the first ever ABSA Cup known. The bankers boss is expecting the fans to turn up in numbers and cheer the team to give them the morale they need to pick up a positive result.

“Our message to the fans is to come in numbers to support the team. This is the only trophy that we are competing for and especially that the cup has been changed it would be good for us to be the first team to win the ABSA Cup. We expect them to come in numbers to give morale to the team,” he told the ZamFoot Crew in an interview.

Numba also revealed that Chitiya Mususu and Roger Kola were racing against the clock to be fit for the match on Saturday despite starting training.

Roger and Chitiya have started training and the doctors are doing everything possible to make sure they are fit for Saturday’s game. We will hear from the doctors in terms of their fitness and pick it up from there

Chitiya sustained a knock during preparations for the ABSA Cup semifinal while Kola has been out of action since April after sustaining a shoulder injury during a practice match against Young Zanaco.

Zanaco will face Zesco United on Saturday in the final of the ABSA Cup for a chance to win half a million Kwacha. The match will be the third time Zesco United and Zanaco will face each other in the final of this competition. Zesco United triumphed in the last two meetings beating the bankers 2-0 in 2010 and one nil in 2016.
