NO FERTILIZER SHORTAGE IN CHIPANGALI

By Christopher Miti:Chipangali Member of Parliament Vincent Mwale says government has notreduced the 2020/2021 fertilizer allocation to Chipangali district.Mr Mwale who is also Housing and Infrastructure Development minister says the Ministry of Agriculture has no intention of reducing the fertilizer allocation.He says the reported shortfall of 4 thousand packs of fertilizer has been addressed, adding that the inputs will be taken to the district.Mr Mwale explained that the problem came about because the fertilizer for Chipangali came through Chipata district.He said President Edgar Lungu attaches great importance to the agriculture sector.Mr Mwale was speaking during a special programme on Breeze FM in Chipata this morning.He also appealed to Chipangali town council to enforce the ban on mobile markets called Kabwandire.Mr Mwale says Kabwandire markets are not ideal because people do not follow Covid-19 preventive guidelines.
