No disruptions to economy, says Lungu

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu will not entertain any disruptions to Zambia’s stable economic fundamentals such as the exchange rate, special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda says.Mr Chanda said President Lungu is mildly satisfied that the exchange rates have held stable for a considerable period of time.
He said this when he featured on the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation special programme dubbed `The Presidency in Focus’ on Monday evening.
“The President wants banks to drop the lending rates so that more people can have access to cheaper credit,” Mr Chanda said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
