Super league side High Flying Nkwazi has apologized for the unsportsmanlike behaviour shown by their ball boys during a rescheduled Week 7 match against Nkana Football Club at Edwin Imboela stadium in Lusaka on Wednesday

This is according to a statement by Nkwazi media officer Chashinsha Busenga and made available to the ZamFoot Crew. The police sponsored out-fit were handed a five thousand kwacha fine by the Football Association of Zambia following the ball boys acts of deliberately delaying the match.

The Club admitted that passionate about being involved in the senior team as they are part of the Nkwazi youth system but said it was no excuse and their action to delay the flow of the game was unjustified.

The Club has revealed that they are implementing measures to make sure such does not repeat itself . The club will have sessions with the ball boys to provide a deeper understanding of their roles.

Apology on conduct of ball Boys

Lusaka – 3rd May 2019 – Nkwazi Football Club would like to apologise for the embarrassment of our ball boys in the Week 7 match against Nkana Football Club at Edwin Imboela stadium in Lusaka.

Most of our ball boys play for our under 14 side side and despite being passionate about being involved in the senior team, their action to delay the flow of the game was unjustified.

We believe that every football club has the right to Fair Play and together, we can work together to improve the quality of football on and off the pitch by honouring the rules of the game.

We have begun implementing immediate corrective steps which include having sessions with the ball boys to provide a deeper understanding of their roles.

We wish to reassure fans and other stakeholders that we remain on course of producing quality results in order to make us more competitive.
