Super League side High Flying Nkwazi has confirmed the appointment of Dennis Makinka as the new head following the departure of Chris Kaunda.

Makinka has been in-charge of the Police sponsored out-fit in the interim capacity for the last one month since the club part ways with the then head coach Chris Kaunda following a dry spell.

The club has also brought in former Kabwe Warriors and Zanaco forward Edward ‘Bubble’ Kangwa to boost the technical bench.

“The management of Nkwazi football club would like to announce the appointment of Dennis Makinka as Nkwazi Football club head coach. Makinka has been an interim coach since Nkwazi parted ways with Chris Kaunda.”

“He [Makinka] will be assisted by Edward Kangwa who has come in to reinforce the technical bench. Kangwa joins Keegan Phiri and Samuel Ngulube as assistants to Makinka.”

The addition of ‘Bubble’ is to help the team improve their goal-scoring prowess as they have not managed to score a goal in their last eight games.

“Nkwazi have not recorded a win or goal in the last eight games. The coming of former international forward adds to goal getting minds on the bench to what Keegan gave during his playing days.”

The new-look technical bench has three weeks to prepare the team before their first real test when they face Lusaka dynamos.

Nkwazi is currently 14th on the log with 11 points collected from 11 games played so far.
