Nkana welcome ZESCO as week seven action continues

Action from the MTN Super League week 7 continues this afternoon as five matches come alive. On Friday it was all about Friday Samu who netted five goals as Green Buffaloes opened an eight-point lead at the summit.

The biggest game of the day sees the record 13-time Champions Nkana welcome defending Champions, ZESCO United to Nkana Stadium.

A win for ZESCO will see them move to second place depending on the result of the match involving Buildcon and Nkwazi while Nkana is desperate for a win after failing to win any of their last three games.

The two sides have clashed on 22 occasions since 2008 and Zesco has a slightly better record with 11 wins to their name.

Nkana were victorious on 5 occasions while 6 previous matches ended in a share of the spoils.

At Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Buildcon welcomes Nkwazi in a second vs third-placed team affair. A win for either side will see them reduce Green Buffaloes lead to just five points.

Buildcon has only managed two points from their last three games while the visitors are unbeaten in their last four games. A tricky encounter is expected in Ndola.

Youthful Kafue Celtic are back in action this afternoon as they welcome newcomers the Mabanga Boys of Solwezi at Edwin Imboela.

The Crocs will look to record their third win of the season while the Mabanga Boys will do everything possible to get something out of this game especially after their big win over Red Arrows during the International break.

In Chililabombwe, Konkola Blades welcome fellow newcomers Chambishi in one of the evenly matched affairs this afternoon.

Both teams are coming from defeats and will be looking to get back to winning ways hence an interesting fixture is expected at Konkola Stadium this afternoon.

Choma-based, Green Eagles visit the legendary Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium this afternoon as they square off with Kabwe Warriors.

Both Aggrey Chiyangi and Ian Bakala require Maximum points as their teams are going through a bad patch.

Eagles are winless in the last four games while Kabwe Warriors have only managed one win in their last six games.
