Nkana Water launches shipwe shipwe-nkongole promotion
NKANA Water and Sewerage Company public relations manager Bivan Saluseki says the shipwe shipwe-nkongole promotion is will help the water utility customers clear their outstanding bills.
In a statement, Mr. Saluseki stated that Nkana Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) had realized the challenges experienced by the customers in paying for the services.
“Nkana Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) has launched a new and exciting promotion aimed at encouraging domestic customers to clear their outstanding bills called Shipwe Shipwe – nkongole. This initiative therefore helps our domestic customers clear their outstanding water bills. For Nkana Water and Sewerage Company to survive and continue providing services to its customers, they must reciprocate by paying their bills on time too,” Mr. Saluseki stated.
“It is this backlog in outstanding bills that we want to help our customers dismantle using the Shipwe Shipwe Bill Wiper promotion. This promotion will over the next two months. The promotion has been structured as follows: Customers owing debts that are five years and above will only be required to pay 50 per cent of that debt portion and NWSC will wipe off the other 50 per cent.”
Mr. Saluseki stated that that customers with a debt of two to five years will need to pay 60 per cent of the debt portion to qualify for a write off for the rest of the 40 per cent.
He stated that for debt that was between five months and two years, customers are required to pay 70 per cent to qualify to a write off for the balance of 30 per cent.
“This promotion does not leave out those that have been good payers. Customers with a debt of five months and below have the opportunity to win a number of prizes upon clearing their bills and will automatically be entered into a raffle draw. Those clearing their bills through Shipwe, Shipwe are also entitled to enter the raffle where several prizes stand to be won.
We are therefore urging our customers to take advantage of the promotion and avoid disconnection of services. This is a rare offering which our valued customers must embrace,” stated Mr. Saluseki.
