NKANA FC BATTLES SAN PEDRO

Zambia’s envoy in the CAF Confederation Cup, Nkana Football club this evening takes on San Pedro of Ivory Coast in the second leg fixture of the competition in that country.
Nkana carry a huge three goal advantage into the second leg.
This follows their three-nil win in the first leg, thanks to goals from Ronald Kampamba, Joseph Musonda and Festus Mbewe.
Nkana needs to avoid a four nil defeat to progress to the group stage of the competition.
Last Night Zambian champions Zesco United football Club qualified to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
This is after they beat Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa by two goals to one at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, to advance via a 5-2 aggregate.
Zesco scored in each half through Kenyan internationals Anthony Akumu AGAY in the 14th minute and Jesse Jackson Were in the 69th minute.
Zesco will now await the draws to be conducted in Cairo on Monday, to know their opponents in the group stage of the tournament.
