NHCC WANTS INDEPENDENCE STADIUM

By Cecilia Mukonkela:National Heritage and Conservation Commission Executive Director Collins Chipote says the Commission is working on declaring Independence Stadium as a National Monument.Mr. Chipote says declaration will provide information for the younger generation to understand the country’s political and football history.He says the Independence stadium holds significant features in the political and sports history of the nation.Mr. Chipote said this in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.And Youth, Sports and Child Development Minister Moses Mawere has welcomed the initiative and stated that government will engage various key stakeholders to work together and mobilize resources to improve the stadium.
