New teachers undergo training in Lufwanyama

Zanis-Education authorities in Lufwanyama district on the Copperbelt province have started orienting about 800 newly recruited teachers in the area.

Speaking during the orientation workshop, District Education Board Secretary JUMA PHIRI said many new teachers may have no knowledge about procedures and ethics involved in the public service.

Mr. PHIRI said his office decided to orient the new teachers to ensure quality in terms of service delivery.

Meanwhile Lufwanyama District Commissioner JUSTIN MWALIKWA who officially opened the workshop urged teachers to exercise high levels of professionalism.
