The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- says delayed World Cup qualifiers affects the start of the local league season.

FAZ General Secretary ADRIAN KASHALA says the Association is avoiding starting the league and then break for a long period.

He says starting the league without taking into consideration the upcoming World Cup qualifiers will disturb the flow of the league.

KASHALA further says the Association has prepared proposals to the Executive Committee which should be approved ahead of the new football league season.

He observes that long breaks in the middle of the league are not good for the clubs and players.
