Netbusters: Musonda nets hat-trick to move up to fourth… Chamanga and Were remain on top of the chart

The race for the golden boot this season is very tight with no outright leader as at week 21.

Legendary James Chamanga is still leading the pack alongside Kenyan talisman Jesse Jackson Were with eleven goals scored so far.

The duo, however, could not add to their tally over the weekend. Chamanga’s Red Arrows were handed a 1-0 defeat away in Solwezi while Jesse’s Zesco United won but the Kenyan could not find the back of the net.

Power Dynamos new acquisition, Kennedy Musonda was the striker of the weekend as he netted a brace to help his team beat KYSA 4-0.

Prior to scoring the treble on Saturday Musonda had not scored for Abayellow but moves into fourth place with eight goals, The other five he scored at Green Eagles in the first half of the season.

Ghanian forward Zikiru Adams scored a brace against Nakambala Leopards to move to second place alongside Cameronian striker Baba Basile and Idris Mbombo who netted for Nkana (ten goals).

Jimmy Ndhlovu scored a thunderous strike to move to 9 goals for the season but could however not help his team as Roger Kola’s late penalty secured maximum points for the Bankers.
