Netballers on course

ROBINSON KUNDA, Lusaka
KENYA 39 ZAMBIA 52
ZAMBIA has continued with its fine form at the ongoing Africa Cup Netball Championship where it recorded its second consecutive win yesterday.By trouncing hapless Kenya yesterday, the girls have firmly kept the hopes of qualifying for the Liverpool World Cup alive.
Again, Zambia Sports Fans Association patron Peter Makembo led a horde of fans in cheering the team at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in Lusaka.
Unlike the first match, in which Zambia struggled to beat Botswana on the opening day, the hosts were simply in the class of their own, outplaying the East Africans throughout the match.
The first quarter ended with Zambia leading 15 – 6 but Kenya threatened to spoil their dream by reducing the gap to 17 – 24 at the close of the second quarter.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
