Netball World Youth Cup Qualifiers Cancelled

The International Netball Federation -INF- has cancelled of the Netball World Youth Cup Qualifiers.Uganda was scheduled to host the Africa Region World Youth Cup Qualifiers this May.The tournament was later postponed due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic which has wrecked havoc across the globe.However, in a statement by the netball governing body, the tournament has been called off and INF rankings will be used to determine the Qualifiers for the global youth showpiece.The 2021 World Youth Cup will be held in Fiji in June.And Netball Association of Zambia General Secretary Pritchard Ngoma is hopeful Zambia will make the cut and qualify to the World Cup.Ngoma said Zambia is ranked 15th in the world and 5th in Africa.He said since there are 16 countries at the World Cup, Zambia is on the verge of making a second appearance at the Netball World Cup.Ngoma was speaking in an interview with ZNBC Sport.
