Nchanga’s Kasanda banned for six months for violent behaviour
Nchanga Rangers new acquisition Sydney Kasanda has been suspended from all football related activity for six months for his violent conduct during last season’s week encounter between FC MUZA and Nkwazi Football Club.
Following Nkwazi’s appeal, the FAZ disciplinary committee this week decided to hand the hard tackling defender a huge penalty for breaking a phone for Nkwazi media officer Jeff Mwape during the week 28 FAZ/MTN Super League encounter.
The 2023/24 FAZ/MTN Super League week 28 encounter between FC MUZA and Nkwazi was abandoned in the 84th minute after the home side FC MUZA were awarded a penalty, this resulted in a protest from the Nkwazi bench leading to the postponement of the game.
Kasanda who last season donned the FC MUZA colors switched clubs during this summer transfer window.
