National Junior Athletics team named
THE Zambia Amateur Athletic Association (ZAAA) has picked a 28 member team to represent the Country at the Southern African Region Championship set for Lusaka, Zambia from 17 to 19 June 2016 at Heroes Stadium.
The Zambian athletes will be led by the 2014 Youth Olympic Gold medalist Sydney Siame.
ZAAA Development Manager Sydney Mushipi who has released the names says the team will go into residential camp on the 9th June, 2016 to prepare adequately for the championship that will attract 14 Countries in the region.
“I am very confident that the team picked will bring honor and glory to Zambia. Among the countries expected to come are South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Swaziland, Mozambique, Mauritius, Madagascar, Lesotho, Malawi and Zimbabwe,” he said.
