NATIONAL DIALOGUE PROCESS LAUNCHED

The Three Church Mother bodies facilitating the dialogue process have Launched the National Dialogue and Reconciliation process with a call for Zambians to stay away from tribalism.
Speaking during the Launch, Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops-ZCCB- president Bishop George Lungu said tribalism is one of the vices that has contributed to recent political tension in the country.
Meanwhile The launch of the National Dialogue and Reconciliation process has been received with mixed feelings among opposition political party Leaders.
United Prosperous for Peaceful Zambia-UPPZ president Charles Chanda said the event was NOT a genuine start of the long-awaited dialogue process.
Mr. Chanda said the event was just a church service that attracted various opposition parties.
He explained that a dialogue process is one that involves both the ruling and opposition political parties but in this case there was no representative from the ruling Patriotic Front PF.
And UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema said the Launch of the National Dialogue and Reconciliation process is a sign of good things to come.
