Another one has landed

The Zambian mini Premier Soccer League’s top scorers chart is heating up quite interesting. With the halfway season gone, we are beginning to see the shape on the golden boot getting molded and potentially who could be carrying the tag when the season closes shop.

The usual suspect on the Zambian top flight league in the form of Chris Mugalu is leading the pack and Rodgers Kola is just there too holding his own.

But there is a shinning star that would be heading straight to Egypt to represent his country in their maiden Afcon participation after the close of the season.

One Laudit Mavugo, the lad has been creating his own status and getting the rave reviews due to his form. The Burundian has been in good good stead scoring goals with aplomb. Already with two braces to his name. And a tag of three score chats in three games is never an easy task in football. Unless you are a Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Kane etc. In my opinion he is up there with probably so far the best player of the season in Austin Muwowo

The Burundian International striker with his eyes set on the 2019 AFCON but he will have another eye on the ZSL topscorers chart as he has scored 7 goals in 10 matches and is just a goal behind topscorer Rodgers Kola from Zanaco FC.

I asked some strict followers of the Zambian League and this is what they said about him:

Radio Phoenix Sports Presenter Puncherello Chama : He is a good striker , 7 goals in 10 games is not joke , no matter how they come. It shows a sign of a good striker . Let’s watch him more and see what comes next.

Soccer Analyst Luke Mbewe : I like his stamina, work rate and off the ball movement. His positioning is excellent as he makes it easy for good midfiekders . Though I haven’t seen him play against the big teams

Football blogger and Statistician  Mutheliso Phiri: I have only watched a single match in which he played. I did not see him as an out and out striker. I thought he was more of a number 10 or 8. But so far so good .

ZamFoot Editor in Chief Aaron Mubanga : He knows where the goal is but he gets caught off side too many times. He is a decent striker

ZamFoot Correspodent and Radio Presenter Trinity Dunga: His got that energy of dropping deep to link play, moving out wide to creat space and also interchanging positions with his colleagues.his been a very touch man to contain. He is a good striker

Let’s see what then comes next, otherwise Laudit seems like he is that jewel and the hope for Muhammad Fathi.
