“MWOMBOSHI DAM TO HELP FARMERS”

Central Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kabwe says the 115 million dollar World Bank funded Mwomboshi Dam in Chisamba will help the people in the region to grow the economy.

Speaking during an impromptu visit to the facility in Chisamba, Mr. Kabwe said the Mwomboshi Dam has a lot of benefits to the entire farming community in Chisamba District.
He said the Mwomboshi Irrigation Scheme is also of great importance to President Edgar Lungu.
And Ministry of Agriculture Director – Department of Agriculture, Peter Lungu said government’s intention is to replicate such sites to other parts of the country in view of the climate change
