Zambia national team captain Enock Mwepu has been discharged from the Polyclinique Pasteur de Bamako, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed.
Mwepu who had been admitted at the hospital for the past four days has been discharged and has left for his base where he is expected to undergo further treatment.
Mwepu, who reported for Chipolopolo duty on Monday, has been ruled out of the two back to back international friendly matches against Mali due to illness.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Brighton and Hove Albion midfield ace fell ill on the flight to Mali and was immediately taken to Hospital upon arrival.
The Chipolopolo Boys suffered a 1-0 loss to the Eagles of Mali on Friday and will again face off on Monday.
