Mwape Musonda, Malama on target as Sunzu, Daka and Mwepu win league titles

Zambian players abroad were in action over the weekend in their respective leagues and the ZamFoot Crew monitored their contributions to their teams.

It was celebrations for Stophila Sunzu in France as he won the French Ligue two title with Metz. Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka also celebrated winning their second title in four days in Austria

PSL leading goalscorer Mwape Musonda added another goal to his tally with Fashion Sakala being involved in two goals while Donashano Malama opened his PSL goal account.

In DR Congo, Nathan Sinkala put in a full shift for TP Mazembe in their nil all draw with Esperance Sportive de Tunis to end the Congolese giants journey in the CAF Champions league.

In South Africa, Justin Shonga set up a goal and put in a decent full shift as Orlando Pirates held Ben McCarthy’s Cape Town City to a 2-2 draw.Augustine Mulenga was an unused substitute.

Mwape Musonda scored his fifteen goal of the season but Black Leopards gave up the one nil lead to draw 1-1 with Amazulu

Gamphani Lungu was a second half substitute for Supersport United while Billy Mutale was not included in the match day squad that suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Maritzburg United.

Former Nkana Captain Donashano Malama scored a goal as Chippa United managed a 3-1 win over Polokwane City . Salulani Phiri was left out of the match day squad. The goal was the first for Malama in the PSL.

Former Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda and his Baroka City were handed a 3-1 bashing by Bidvest Wits.

Rodrick Kabwe and his Ajax Cape Town team mates claimed a hard fought 2-0 win over Mbombela in their NFD encounter on Sunday.

In Tanzania , Clatous Chota Chama and his Simba SC team mates secured a one nil win over TZ Prisons to complete their 13 days of football, Playing six games in the period and winning all of them.

In the last 13 days we have played 6 games ( 1 at home and 5 away ) … Results : 6 victories and 18 points !

In Austria, Patson Daka put in a decent 60 minute shift for Redbull Salzburg who came from a goal down to beat Austria Wien 2-1 to clinch their sixth Austrian Bundesliga title in a row.

Midfielder Enock Mwepu was an unused substitute for the match.

Striker Brian Mwila was again left out of the Rheindorf Altach match day squad that played out to a goalless draw with Mattersburg. Mwila has only played seven games this season with two goals to his credit.

In Belgium, Striker Fashion Sakala put in a full shift and set up a goal but he was unfortunate to end up on a losing end as AS Eupen managed a 3-2 win with Tunisian attacker Yousef Msakni scoring the winner from the spot

In China, Jacob Mulenga opened his goal account for the season but his goal was not enough as Shijiazhuang Ever Bright beat Liaoning Kaixin 2-1.

In England, Zambia U20 national team winger Lifumpa Mwandwe came from the bench to play the last 30 minutes for Shrewsbury Town U18 that suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Tranmere 2 in their final game of the season.

In France, Chipolopolo defender Stophila Sunzu put in a full shift for FC Metz who cruised to a three nil win over Valenciennes to clinch the Ligue two title with two games to spare.

Midfielder Emmanuel Banda came from the bench to set up the only goal of the game as AS Béziers’ shock one nil win over Brest. Emmanuel Banda was introduced in the 79th minute replacing Mickaël Diakota and set up Aboubakary Kanté for the only goal of the game.

In Isreal, Emmanuel Mbola and his Bnei Sakhnin team mates suffered a huge three nil defeat at the hands of Hapoel Tel Aviv.

In Poland, Lubambo Musonda missed his second game in a row due to injury.He is expected to be back in action soon after he over stretched the muscles around the knee and the ligaments.

His team, Śląsk Wrocław returned to winning ways in his absence beating Zagłębie Sosnowiec 4-2 after going six games without a win. The win has given them a boost in their bid to survive relegation.

In Russia, Evans Kangwa put in a full shift for Arsenal Tula who beat Lokomotiv Moskva 2-0.
