Mwape Musonda and Edward Chilufya on target… Action for Fashion, Mwiya Malumo, and Clatous Chama

A number of Zambian players were in action on Saturday and Mwape Musonda was the star of the day scoring a brace.

Sweden based former Zambia U20 national team winger Edward Chilufya was also on target scoring his second goal of the season.

In South Africa, In-form striker Mwape Musonda scored a brace as Black Leopards took a big step towards retaining their top-flight status with a 3-1 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivandila in the GladAfrica Championship/ PSL playoffs on Saturday afternoon.

In Tanzania, Midfield ace Clatous Chama put in a great shift full shift for Simba SC who played out to a 1-1 draw with Mtibwa Sugar.

Former Power Dynamos captain Rally Bwalya was not part of the team.

In Belgium, Former Sensational Zanaco striker Fashion Sakala put in a full shift for KV Oostende who sneaked in a 1-0 win over KV Mechelen thanks to a late Jack Hendry goal to record their first win of the season.

In England, Former U-20 national team forward Mwiya Malumo played 90 minutes for Irlam FC who suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Ramsbottom United in the preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup.

The defeat means Mwiya Malumo and his Irlam FC teammates bow out of the Competition.

In Sweden, Mphande Youth product Edward Chilufya scored a beautiful goal to help Djurgadens IF rescue a point as they played to a 1-1 draw with Elfsborg. Chilufya slotted home from close range after a fantastic run following a fine pass by Jesper Karlström.

Chilufya put in a good 71 minute shift and The goal is his second of the season. Compatriot Emmanuel Banda watched from the stands as he is still recovering from an injury.

Next up for Djurgadens is a UEFA Europa League encounter on Thursday against Europa FC .
