Zambia’s new Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Emmanuel Mwamba says the African Union should help shape economic growth, peace and stability of Africa.

Mr. Mwamba says Zambia will take keen interest in implementing the 2063 Agenda designed for an Africa that is integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, and driven by its own citizens.

Mr. Mwamba was speaking when he arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to take up his new appointment.

He was received by SADC Ambassadors accredited to the African Union and Zambian Embassy Staff and replaces veteran ambassador, Susan Sikaneta who returned home after her retirement.

This is according to a statement availed to ZNBC News by First Secretary Press and Public Relations at Zambian Mission in Addis Ababa, Inutu Mwanza.
