Mine Unions on the Copperbelt say President Edgar Lungu will go down in history as the only President to reverse privatization in ZAMBIA.
MUZ President Joseph Chewe says President Lungu chose to save thousands of jobs against foreign investors at KCM and Mopani.
Mr. Chewe said operations at KCM had gone in ICU and that it took the head of state to bring back the mine to normal by putting it under liquidation.
He added that today workers at KCM are working with pride and motivation because they have received their terminal benefits and still have their jobs.
Meanwhile the National Union of Miners and Allied Workers-NUMAW has praised President Edgar Lungu for coming to the aid of miners at Mopani and KCM.
NUMAW President James Chansa said the miners today look forward to go for work because of the motivation they have.
He said government has helped to maintain and sustain jobs.
