MUZ ASSURES MINERS

The Mine Workers Union of Zambia-MUZ has assured mine workers across the country that the challenges at both Konkola Copper Mines-KCM and Mopani Copper Mines-MCM will not dilute the country’s potential to grow the industry.

MUZ President Joseph Chewe says the developments at the two mining giants should not cause any source of worry to all miners.

Mr. Chewe was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Kitwe.

He said what is happening at both KCM and Mopani is a minor setback and will not significantly affect the growth of the economy.

Mr. Chewe has asked union members not to despair but to ensure that the country benefits largely from its mineral wealth.
