Mutapa named Gomes’ head coach

Ndola based National division one side Gomes Football Club have appointed former Lumwana Radiants coach Osward Mutapa as their new head coach. Mutapa who doubles up as National Team Under 17 coach will be assisted by the experienced former MUZA FC head coach Dabwiso Nkhoma.

This follows the reshuffle of the side’s technical bench which sees the release of Assistant Coaches Dennis Njapau and George Phiri alongside Goalkeeper Coach Joel Kanyeba while Head coach Theodosis Lacovu has been moved to the Technical Director’s role.

Gomes Football Club current physical trainer Collins Nyoka will continue in his role with the addition of Yona Phiri who takes up the Goalkeepers coaching role.

The Acid Boys have qualified to National Division One that gets underway this season and has already shown ambition by appointing an experienced technical bench to steer them into the Elite League.
