Musonda hat-trick inspires Leopards come back win

South Africa Premier Soccer League top scorer Mwape Musonda took his tally for the season to double figures after he netted a hat-trick for Black Leopards to inspire them to a 3 – 2 win over Chippa United.

Chippa United who had Donashano Malama in the starting line-up led by two goals scored by Thabo Rhakale and Lerato Manzini in the 26th and 40th minutes respectively.

Musonda who went in the game on 9 goals started the come back with a goal on the stoke of half time when he finished off from close range.

He added another in the 57th minute with a first time strike on the right side of the box after pouncing on a through ball.

The 27 year old completed his hat-trick with a header at the back post in the 61st minute to take his tally for the season to 12 goals.

Malama had a decent game though he was substituted in the 79th minute.

The result saw Leopards move 5 points away from relegation in 12th position while Chippa are in the relegation zone.
